There were things that troubled me. Then I realized that I am not the only one who is being troubled by those things. There are issues that hurt me, and I know, they hurt you too. It’s just that I chose to stand up to the dreams the founders of this modern India have seen. Gandhi Ji always believed in the concept of Poorna Swarajya or Complete Freedom, coming to think of it, are we really free?
We live to die. If terrorists spare us then for sure the present day politicians will kill us. As a matter of fact, our so called saviors have more sophisticated weaponry. They work on the lines of Reservation Policy, play regionalism cards and democracy is nothing more than a fancy word for them.
There was a time when India was the only superpower in the world. India was already at the pinnacle of Human Development in all fields-Economic, Social, Spiritual, Cultural, Scientific and Defense-when the rest of the world was beginning to take its first tentative, toddler-steps towards the phenomenon known as ‘Civilization’. That was a time when the world looked towards India for direction and leadership. However, with time and repeated invasions India began to lose its primacy in the world. The worst happened when the British colonized India. In one stroke they, and the west, had access to all the riches and resources of India, both material and intellectual. It was from our ancient texts that they got ideas as diverse as airplanes to time travel. Then exploited our nation and its peace-loving people for wealth and used our resources to develop our ideas into practical and usable inventions and technology through which they ruled and still rule the world both economically and militarily.
Our nation has the capability to rise once again to the position of primacy in the globe. However, sadly, it is being eaten up from the inside by the twin malaise of Corruption and a Lack of National Character. Swarajya Party of India is committed to the complete removal of Corruption-Both Economic and Intellectual-from our system and replace the current decadent system with a new vibrant one in which National Character is the greatest attribute of a citizen. Once such a National Character and a spirit of loyalty to the nation is developed the system would ensure that all the citizens of the country receive the benefits of development equally in all fields Economic, Social and Human Development. In such a system all the citizens of the country would be special for the country and there would be no need to provide any ‘special’ benefits to any class of citizens. Such a system replaces the current corrupt and inefficient system, the resources-Material and Intellectual- of the country would be directed only and only towards its Holistic Development. Eventually the nation will be re-energized and will rise up to the position of primacy in the world that it once enjoyed.

When finally we decided to take on the lead, we suffered with what they call as a ‘no past’ syndrome. Is it really important? We didn’t want to end right there and all the dreams of a new nation that we were nurturing couldn’t have got us through the initial stage of giving them a tough fight. The only reason we are into it is just the fact that they aren’t doing their tasks properly. If they would have been working up to the mark or they would not have been too busy selling us out in the open, there is absolutely no need for someone from us to take an initiative to lead. Some of us are busy to the extent that they can’t even take out time to vote but we can’t ignore them. They have equal rights as anyone of us. We decided we will fight for their cause as well.
Swarajya Party’s apparent weakness is its strength and it’s USP. A lot of people are skeptical because the party is new and its thinking and ideology are radically different from the ideology (or the lack of it) of the other established, old (and senescent) parties of India. However, the newness of Swarajya Party is its strength. We are a party of the current generation. We are party not of the past but of the present and the future. We are a party without baggage. We are a no-strings-attached organization. We do not owe allegiance to any rotten ideology that may be completely out of sync with the views, aspirations, needs and ambitions of the current generation. We have our own ideology. Our own mantra. And in that ideology and mantra, the country, its people and their all- round, holistic and equitable development hold overriding priority over anything else. We are a party that believes in the dictum that “justice should not only be done, it should appear to have been done”. Accordingly, our leaders are committed to extremely high standards of personal and public conduct. In short we are a fresh, young, vibrant, educated and uncorrupted party that has the capacity to provide the electorate of the country with the option that they have been looking for since independence but are yet to find.
We are not keen on a billionaire’s son to lead on our behalf and we are not striving to have a political heir to mark our victory speech. We want you to take lead. It is your nation, all this while you have been busy passing the baton of responsibilities to someone else. But the questions still remains, do you want the next 60 years to be exactly like the last 60 years that we have lived? It is time that we stand by our nation and bring about a revolution with whatever little we have. Live is all about choices and our choices make us the person that we are. Only this time, let your choices be for your nation. After all, it’s Our Country and Our Choices.
